When the Textra Keypad is used as a direct substitute for the 12-button numeric keypad found on standard phone designs the dedicated function keys remain and operate just as normal.
The 12-button numeric keypad is also retained for a familiar user interface and easy operation.
The only additions are the four Textra buttons embedded within the numeric keypad.
This single step, evolutionary approach provides the simplest, quickest and cheapest solution for enhanced text entry on mobile phones.
This allows Textra to be easily implemented in the current and next generations of mobile phone handsets.
Implementation effort is minimal as the bulk of handset operation and system functions remain unaffected.
Manufacturing cost is low because simple proven components are used and only existing manufacturing processes are required.
