AZjoy offers full alphabetic and numeric text entry capabilities and shares the Textra vowels+alphabet layout.
Four miniature joysticks are used, each capable of eight-way operation.
The eight directions of the four joysticks provide an explicit implementation of the Textra Concept and enable text input within the absolute minimum of space.
Using only four controllers enables integration in the smallest devices and allows manufacturers to include alphanumeric input in form factors whose size would previously have prohibited this. Possibilities include micro PDAs, personal music players and digital cameras.
The arrangement of the four joysticks may be chosen to suit the target device for additional versatility, while maintaining the intuitive vowels+alphabet layout.
